The national living wage paid to workers aged 23 and over will rise from £8.91 to £9.50 per hour from Friday 1st April 2022.
This represents an increase of £0.59 pence per hour, and an extra £1,000 per year if you work full-time. The national minimum wage for workers aged under 23 and apprentices will also rise in line.
The NLW and NMW rates by age group from 1 April 2022 are:
23+: £9.50 from £8.91 ph.
21-22: £9.18 from £8.36 ph.
18-20: £6.83 from £6.56 ph.
16-17: £4.81 from £4.62 ph.
Apprentice Rate: £4.81 from £4.30 ph.
